Home PC services
If your home PC is running slowly, popping up error messages or making funny noises then we can come to you in the daytime or evening to fix the problem. Most work will be done on site as it's best to make sure everything is working in the place it is going to be used, but for some longer jobs we can take your PC back to base and return it when the job is finished. We will give an estimate of cost over the phone before visiting you, and you will only be charged for the time spent working on the PC.
The most common home services required are:
- Upgrades
We can advise on any upgrades which would improve the performance of your PC, or if you already know what you want we can supply it and fit it.
- Virus and Spyware
There are new threats every day and even with up to date antivirus software they can still get onto your computer. We can find and remove them and also check that your security software is functioning properly.
- Network Configuration
We can help set up your internet connection or help with sharing your printer and files between home PCs with either wired or wireless networks.
- General maintenance
As well as cleaning up the hard drive on your computer to remove any old unwanted files, the inside of your computer needs cleaning out sometimes too because of dust which builds up over the years. If the fans get clogged up then they can become noisy and not work as well as they should which can cause perfomance problems. We can clean up your operating system and clean up inside the PC too.
